Help my grapple won’t close.

I just bought a used ck 3510se/c. The previous owner has hydraulic lines running to the loader. He had a snow plow that has 2 cylinders for angling the blade. The lines run to the rear hydraulic ports. I have a new grapple mounted and it only opened but won’t close with the lever C D next to the seat. Any idea what’s going on? What does lever A B do?

I think each tractor can be set up differently, so maybe they are connected to the front of the tractor, but those are normally connected to the rear remotes. For a grapple I think there is normally a third function joystick set up for the front end... Not an expert so take with a grain of salt.

Looks like you have two sets of rear hydraulic ports, also known as rear remotes.

One lever controls one set, let's say A and B.

The other lever controls the other set, C and D.

There should be stickers on the tractor saying which letter corresponds to which rear ports.

Also, you want your hoses connected to the same valve, being either A and B or C and D. Never A and C or B and D, etc.

Thanks for the replies. I believe the main issue was my inexperience with hydraulics. I got it working now and am certain that there was pressure in the lines and I never had the lines properly connected. The bracket that secures the connections was obscuring my view of the connection.
