Finally the answer....
Sent the 1010 hydro to the shop.(MF dealer)
Problem was caused by a growing mouse nest inside the clutch housing.
Working the pedal back and forth would push enough of the stuff out of the way and allow clutch travel.
However, since the tractor would sit as much as a month at a time, the critters would fill the space I created with more nest until eventually the housing was packed so full and hard that the clutch woudn't travel.
Dealer had to split the tractor and while in there replaced the clutch.
Very expensive.
Watch out for the critters, especailly if your unit sits for weeks at a time giving yhr rodents time to rediscover and settle in.
Dealer suggested " dryer sheets" or even better a mint concentrate on cotton balls.
