When I went to vote yesterday, the pictured plant was part of the landscaping at the church voting precinct I use. The flowers were covered up with bees. I have a pumpkin patch, and the number of bees visiting the pumpkin blooms has been disappointing. In fact, I don't think I am getting good pollination. I have many pumpkin blooms, but it doesn't seem like I have enough small pumpkins. I would like to plant one of these bushes for the purpose of helping draw bees to my property in future years. Can you help me identify it?

It is a crepe myrtle, and probably the Natchez or Kiowa variety.

Here is FL, they are everywhere. Many different colors.

I have some that are almost 30 ft.

If you do not trim them, they will reach about 30 ft, or trim them to be short and bushy.

Here is a cluster of 4 white Crepe Myrtle planted about 15 years ago. Not many blooms at the present.

It was the Natchez variety
