Help me decide

It's a 2003 model, has never been outside the shop and comes with 2 100 foot welding cables

Considering that it almost new and is a AC/DC machine, I would take it for a test drive and if it works like it is supposed to I would buy it and be happy for the next 30 years.

Both of my stick welders are around 40 years old. That doesn't seem to hurt them much.

Plasma definitely. Once you go plasma you never go back. I got one a few years back that will cut 5/8 inch ($2500 mind you) and I haven't cut with the torch since. I do a LOT less grinding now because the cuts are much cleaner.

I vote for the welder. I have that machine and it works good but I will say I use my Hobart 187 99% of the time for my welding needs.

Since you have a MIG and a torch set, next logical choice is a plasma.
