The idea of the show originally was to make an ordinary vehicle do some extraordinary. The trick was, is it had to look stock and they could use no more than $3000. They could accept freebies. Well, since the first few episodes, the show has really lost focus. It seems they no longer have a budget. I think they can now spend $5000. They also get lots and lots of freebies that total in the thousands. And most of the vehicles now, no longer look stock. Go figure.
Btw, the show airs on Discovery Channel every Monday night at 8 or 9pm (Eastern Time) if I remember right.
