Help identifying couplers for skid steer and kubota tractor

Well, I have read that releasing the pressure, if needed, on the flat-faced couplers is very difficult. I know that with the poppet type you can bang them against something hard and get a release out of those.
I've had that happen with the couplers for a grapple, once.

So instead of pushing the male onto a flat surface, I had to use something that protruded enough to release the pressure on the flat faced version. Specifically, one of the serrations on the side of the rock bucket.

As often as I switch hydraulic hoses around, having it happen once in 10+ years is something I can live with. And it was likely self inflicted, having clamped the grapple closed in cold weather, then going to reinstall it when it was warm.

Anyway, to me it'd be great not to have fluid drip from every female connector on the back of the tractor (six) and making a mess whenever I disconnect the hoses. The flat faced ones sure seem more substantial, and appears to be used on everything except our tractors.

No luck at the local NAPA. They don't stock metric fittings.
Ordered online from Discount Hydraulic Hoses and just need to wait.

Thanks,
Chris

Another thing you can do if the hoses have strange threads on the ends, is take the hoses to the hydraulic shop and have them put new ends on the hoses to fit the couplers they select to fit your tractor.

Well, I actually did change my QC fittings, from ISO7641B to ISO5675, since they are cheaper and more widely available. Got Summit brand. Still have to wait for the fittings to convert the 18mm-1.5 to 1/2" NPT, and unfortunately they are back-ordered. Not quite ready to modify my hose ends yet.

Thanks,
Chris
