Help identifying a Long tractor built in Romania

I just bought a Long tractor. The only decals on the hood just say Long. I did find a tag with a serial number and model number 2053. I have searched the internet but haven't been able to cross reference this to a model number from Long. I would guess it to be around 40 HP. It has a Long FEL mounted on it. It has flat fenders with a ROPS. It has a high and low shift lever and 4 forward gears and a reverse. The muffler is mounted through the hood. Any help identifying this tractor would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried that. I can't find a cross reference for the model number in the serial number tag.

I had one of them. It is either a 2360 (36 horse) a 2460 (46 horsepower) or 2510 (51 horsepower) Possibly a 2610

In any case it is one of those series of tractors. They were from the 90's and sold by Long from Tarboro NC and made in Romania. I put a lot of hours on mine.

If you determine it is a Long 2360 PM me and I will e-mail you a wiring diagram if you want it. It came from a 2360 manual when I was working on a friends 2360.

I have attached a picture of my friends 2360, that is the only picture I have. Hope this helps.

Lets start by telling us how many cylinders it has. This will narrow it down somewhat. Is it 3 or 4 cylinders? (look at the injector lines).

From the pictures I found I was narrowing it down to one of these. I'll check the number of cylinders this evening. Thanks.

It is a 3 cylinder.

OK so we know it is not a 2610. It is either a 2360, 2460 (which are the same thing, except for pump tuning) or a 2510 with the larger displacement engine. Only problem is, I don't know how to break it down further. They all look exactly alike. Obviously decals on both sides of the hood are missing. Perhaps contact Long tractor parts and see what you can learn from them.

The best way to identify it is by part # on data plate on injector pump.

Ziggys37, I have a 2510 with a serial number not far from yours. Not sure if it helps identify your model. This thread is quite old but thought I'd throw this in anyway.

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'm totally confused about my Long tractor. The decal on the front says it's a 2360. The model number on the transmission tag says 2051, Ser#35005902. The engine Serial # is 363774 I think. It's stamped in a little plate, poorly.
I have a plate on the side of the bracket that is for the roof, over the driver. This is attached to the fender on the right side, it has all kinds of numbers and stuff. No manufacture date or Serial number.
I just recently purchased it and need to get parts for the front wheel drive.
It runs great, a 3 cylinder diesel, has a front loader (Long Agribusiness 5300)
I did get an owners manual with it when I purchased the tractor, but I'm not sure that it is totally correct for my tractor. You can buy most anything....
I'm just getting to know the thing and what I have doesn't always line up to what the manual says or shows.
