Help Identify This Tractor..

Hi, was wondering if anyone might help me identify this tractor. It's an old Case with a front end loader. I'm guessing it's anywhere from late thirties to forties or thereabouts, but might be a later model than that. May be a SI Industrial type or SC-4 with fixed tread width axle?? Haven't been able to locate anything with a serial number or model number etc. Have attempted to look in the normal places for something that would help identify it, but not having much luck locating a plate that has a stamp of any kind of serial identification. Just wondering if there are any Case enthusiasts that might have an idea just from looking at it. Thanks!

If its a Case the serial will be on a plate on the dash and also cast into the bell housibg flange behind the air cleaner. To find the year take the firts 2 numbers and subtract 4.

My Case starts with 49 so 49-4 makes it a 1945.

The model will also be with the serial.

Sorry I can't see the pictures right now. I will look at them tommorow when I am at a computer.

Thanks Mike. I'll try looking again to see if I can find any kind of model number in those places. Sorry the pictures are not real good. I'll try to get some better ones. I downsized them a little, as I was afraid I might be overloading on the uploading.

I looked a little close at the pictures. It looks like a SI. Note the flat grill not the curved one like on the regular S series tractors. The rear wheels look to be the wrong ones for it. Those look like 11.2-38 but the tractor should have 12.4-28 rears on it and the center wheel is different than the ones used on the SI.

I'd guess an SI also. I had one about 15 years ago. The rears were a heavy cast solid hub type rear wheel, kinda' matching the fronts. Looks a though someone switched out to a set of Ag. wheels.

A guy and his son saw it, and made me an offer I couldn't refuse on buying it. Supposed to be the son's project in College, to restore. Sure would like to see it if he ever finished it..!!

Hi and thanks very much for the replies. I've been getting home late from work all this week. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get back out there and get any better pics or look for the serial/model #'s yet. I will probably have to take a brush or something and do a little clean up job to have better luck locating the id plate for it. I did find out that Case made some of the SI types for Airborne use back during WWII. They also made a Model 30 Powerloader? supposedly based on the SI form, so wondering if mine might be of that type.

This one's not running at the moment, but it really only needs some minor things.. new coil, new gas line and need to check on the carburetor. Carb was re-built a few yrs ago, but hasn't been run or cranked in at least a year or so. Yes DJ54.. that would be very interesting to see one restored. Please share some pics if you ever find out and able to catch up on it. I'd love to see the finished product.

This old tractor was a freebie. My wife's cousin had it. He let us borrow it to clear off the homestead acreage where we built our house back in the mid nineties. He used it off and on for several more years after that. Then something happened to it and he just let it sit for several years. I had helped him with some other projects he had going. One day he told me if I wanted it, to just load it up and take it home. He just didn't want to take the time or fool with it anymore. It's been with me now for a few years. I wish I had more time to tinker with it. Can't beat a free tractor! One of these days I'd like to fix it up and fully restore it.
