Tractor
Kubota L2800D & John Deere GX335
I have a GX335 and I wanted to get one of the 30" tillers for it. I came across one for sale, and the guy wanted to sell a blade with it.

The part numbers on the stickers weren't much help as far as compatability with my GX335. From what I found online I believed the tiller is compatible with my tractor. I wasn't sure about the blade, but I figured I could resell the blade if not compatible. Worst case I think I could resell both as he was asking a fair price given what I found online.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out what I have here, and make sure if the tiller is compatible with the tractor or not. My tractor isn't here otherwise I'd just try to pop it on. I can give it it a try this weekend though.

Here are some pictures of what I got. Trying to figure out if what I have is compatible with the GX335, and if not what models these setups are for (5## maybe?) Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what that fits but I don’t think it’s the 325, 335, 345 series.

I have pictures of all my attachments and will send them in a minute.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like they're for an X500 series.

Anyone need a blade and/or tiller for their X500 :)

I'm assuming the tiller is compatible with my GX335, but I need a different frame mount. Is that true?

Yep, even after looking through that I wasn't clear on it so I went ahead and bought them as the price seemed right. Now that I have them I can definitely see they're not for my tractor.

You should have asked a dealer, unless you did. I didn't read that in the posts. If not you should have offered half of what he was asking. Sometimes it's a bear to sell attachments for only specific tractors.

500 series are a popular model so you should not have any trouble selling them. Keep in mind that the parts from Deere are cost prohibitive. When looking for my rototiller for the 345 I explored that path and the parts to adapt were more than the tillers I was looking to buy. In order to get the parts used is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Not sure where you are located but my father has this same HYD 42 Rototiller for sale. He has passed and we no longer have a use for it. It is located in the Upper Peninsula of MI. He bought the same one I had.

You speak the truth. I thought I was on to a great deal here, but after doing a lot of reading online and talking to the dealer it doesn't sound like a logical plan to try to make the plow work unless I come across the GX335 frame for it cheap somewhere.

Hoping to just sell them and keep looking for what I need. May try to make the tiller work though as the frames look a lot alike. Probably bring the GX335 back home this weekend and play with it.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm a long ways from the UP. If I end up deciding to go that route though I'll get in touch here.

Thanks

Well I ended up moving both of these, and didn't lose any money on the deal. I'll call this a lesson learned and either A.) consult the dealer first, or B.) only buy for my specific model.

I think I'm done with attachments for the John Deere anyway, now that I have the L2800 in that other color :D
