I bought this tiller from an old man down the road from our farm Saturday, got it for $200.00. He does not have a tractor small enough to use it any more. It had barbed wire wound up in it really bad and it took me over a hour to cut it all out. I checked the gear box and it turned smooth and was full of clean gear oil. I did try it out but the ground was too wet to see good results. It does not look to till very deep and my tractor seems too fast. There are no name plates anywhere and the back plate is missing but the man I got it from said he may know where it is at.

Not sure who makes it, but it looks really solidly built. Doesn't look like the Chinese types. Fantastic bargain. I'll give you $225. for it.....:D:D

Looks somewhat similar to my Woods tiller. I also bought my tiller used and if I remember correctly my tiller was an out sourced Woods product. At any rate you got a smoking deal.

I agree it looks like a fine deal for the price.

I got a tiller this year and have a somewhat similar tractor and trany. MF 1540 PowerShuttle. I plowed first with a disk plow and then tilled. I did most of my tilling in Snail 1. I believe the SyncroShuttle has only 2 ranges Turtle and Rabbit. So your slowest speed may be a litte fast but you can probably just make more passes and achieve the same result.

Maybe that guy has a plow you can cheap.

I just got a Disc Harrow off craig's list for $400.00.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I got my tiller for free from a fire but $150 later, it was practically new. Happy tilling!
