HELP I,AM SEEING GREEN

HI GUYS
I NEED SOME HELP. I FOUND A 1998 955 JD WITH 70A FEL 800 HRS. I CAN PICK UP THE MACHINE FOR 12,000.00
I WANTED A B21 OR A L35. I JUST HAVENT THE RIGHT ONE.
CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT THIS 955???

Woody -- Properly cared for, and with a local dealer or repair service you can trust, I wouldn't get too hung up on colors. I drive a Kubota L3010, but would have been just as happy with a JD 4300.

OK Woody. Slow down. Take a deep breath, now hold it. Now, what's this fixation with colors? Hmmm, if it was me, I'd buy any color as long as it would do what I need. Just because Orange is the best, (gonna get in trouble for that), doesn't mean that you got to stick with it. I know a few people who are actually happy with green, of course they slobber and drool when they eat. (gonna get in trouble for that too) Then you have all the other colors out there, one for each mood you could be in. Just don't get a pink one. (the neighbors will look at you funny) (and so will we) Seriously, as much as I like Kubota, if the right tractor comes up, at the right price, it's gonna come home with me. (along with a few cans of Kubota orange paint)

Now, if you're still holding your breath from the beginning, all the tractors should start looking green. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

By the way, I'd go for it.

WOODY: now just relax , don't matter the color. do u like the machine? does it fit your needs? and does it seen like a good deal to u? you are the only one that can determine these things.BTW , blue, green, orange , or any other color don't matter. welcome to the forum

That's agreat price on a great machine, if it's in good condition and well-maintained. I almost bought one awhile back with about the same hours as that for $14,000. The 955 has been around a long time and has a great reputation for being a bullet-proof model. If I were satisfied with the condition, I'd buy it for that price without thinking twice.

Well its clear to see what you want..but how bad do you want it,go w/your gut feelings for you are making a long term investment.

Are you looking at new models or trade ins..big differents and more home work before purchasing.
