Hello,

I recently purchased an old Ford 8N with a Davis 100 loader. Im new to tractors but was able to get the loader installed on the tractor. I had to get the front pulley machined and a new shaft put on as old one was wore out. It was surprising easy to split tractor to change the pulley and install new one! I found out after the expensive machining that the "just 8n's" website had all the parts brand new errr, next time. I was able to put another rubber connector (spider gear?) in middle to help take out and play and/or vibration...works awesome. I can also take loader off if needed and split shaft just outside front with only about an inch and 1/2 sticking out of tractor, would be totally behind grill so no accidents with a turning shaft out there.

The loader has had a very slow leak out of the front seal of pump (I'll remove and fix once snow stops) . I would like to top up the fluid but not sure where or how much to put in. I ordered a manual off ebay but it wont be here for a week or two and would like to top it up now. I bought hydraulic fluid at Canadian Tire that's says suitable for farm equipement accessories. I'm assuming I can pour it down the vent tube if I remove the cap but I don't know how much to ad?? Is it ok to mix this fluid with whatever the last owner put in?

Thank you!!

Donovan
