HELP - Calcium chloride rusting!!!

The foam is superb for puncture protection.. and adds a bit of weight.. but not like water+.. also you'll have to seel some children to the slave market to pay for foam filling if you have big tires! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriuusly though.. if you are concerned about rust.. fill your tires with an eco friendly antifreeze and water combo.. the more AF the heavier it gets.. and it is corosion 'resistant'.. also.. use a tube!

I don't have much of an ag tire problem when mowing.. but then I mow a pasture.. not a lawn. I've found a narrow tri rib front will print worse than anything.. however.. a quick turn on loose or soft grass/soil WILL eat up some soil with an ag tire.

Loaded tires are great for loaders.. but tougher on grass.

Like everyone is telling you.. that deal with condensation/tubes/cacl.. etc from your dealer.. well... lotsa tractor guys are telling you they run loaded tubes vs loaded bare rims.. there IS a reason for that.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif


To the guy with the beet juice spill. I understand that high sugar content will kill same as salt content. I've noticed that gras dies around a cattle molassis lick tub same as around a salt block..??

The condensation/rusting he is referring to has nothing to do with calcium chloride, but water leaking past a leaking rim/bead and being trapped by the tube, whereas a tubeless tire would just go flat and be repaired.
