Help - 6x4 diesel gator won't start

By the sounds of it he's getting fuel though. He got fuel right before the injectors I think he said. But that's why I kept asking about it, really doesn't seem like it could be anything else since there's no spark plugs.

My understanding is that there is a low pressure fuel pump that brings fuel to the injector pump (a high pressure pump). I think it is possible that the fuel flow he is seeing is being supplied by the low pressure pump and may not indicate that the injector pump is pumping fuel into the injectors.

It all depends on where the relay operated fuel cut off is located in the system--and I don't have literature that shows that for my Gator Diesel.

A second possibility is a problem with the injector pump--I hope that is not the problem because injector pumps tend to be very expensive.

You might have the answer as well. Depending on how you can check to see what pump it is giving fuel you might want to check that first or like tommy says go and do a compression check. A compression check would probably be easiest and could point out some sort of significant problem you didn't know about before. Perhaps after you finish with those two tests move onto a leakdown test ?

Just had a no start on my diesel gator. Cut my trails with a Swisher 44" bushhog shut off for awhile & went to start & cut pond.

The fuel solenoid grounds out thru the oil pressure switch per schematic.

Oil pressure wire was off the switch, located near the battery ground strap. Plugged it back on & started right up!
