Howdy, y'all. I'm looking to learn about tractors as I plan to retire in a few years back to where I grew up in North Louisiana. Missus and I hope to never live on a paved road again.

Thanks, Muhammad. I drove a tractor 30-odd years ago and hope to reacquaint myself and learn about new tech and implements. I'm interested in a small, handy diesel. One of my in-laws has a 4 wheel dr diesel Kubota taht's nice, but I don't need to move an aircraft carrier. I tried a small 2 cyl Ford diesel (I think an 1100 maybe?) that was really handy but too small to put a big load on. I need a bush hog, a finishing mower, a posthole digger and a rototiller to start, I think (the soil is quite loose loamy sand).

I'll be easing over into the appropriate threads eventually. I got here word-of-mouth from people whose mechanical opinion I respect a lot.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Mrs Phyt & I lived near Traverse City, MI and collected ethem. Had a great little woods that adjoined our property. Mostly beech & maple. I loved morels. I don't belive they grow this far south. Maybe in Arkansas? Edible mushrooms I know around here include Chantrelles and Boletus.

Thanks for the welcomes. I have already discovered from the various forums that I know far less about tractors and implements today then I did yesterday. There's an abundant wealth of knowledge here.
