Hi
I have a 1720 SSS and have been looking for information on increasing the HP by 5 to 10 and thought I mite try here as I'm sure there will be quite a few opinions pro & con.
I have a 60" snow blower and at times could use a-bit more power when busting thru the drifts so I won't need to use the clutch so much.
I'm looking at adding a creeper gear but HP is nice.
Last summer I purchased a Garrett GT-1752 turbo for $35 as it looked like a good fit for my 1720.
Well the turbo is installed, looks and runs good and I did an improvised dyno run using my 25kw pto generator to find where I run out of power.
It peaked with the following loads applied;
3hp planner running
1hp dust collector
5hp craftsman shopvac
Heat shrink gun
8kw electric heater
The loads were started in that order.
What I need now is to add fuel as in modify the injection pump, could anyone give me any info as to how or whom I should ask??
