Hi Folks,
I'm the Farm Coordinator for a high school here in New Castle, Delaware. I'm retired from a lifelong career in agriculture as kid, small vegetable farmer, greenhouse operator and agriculture planner in the public sector. I'm now helping guide a group of ag students in an urban school embarking on learning about farming. We till about 4 acres of all kinds of vegetables. We supply product into the school's culinary arts program and sell through a new CSA. All this is brand new. We now own an IH 584 that's 30 years old, but in good shape. About 4,500 easy hours on a diesel with a front loader. We also have a 3-bottom plow, disk harrow, spike-toothed drag, 7' tiller, and an old JD drop spreader (8'). We also operate an 11 hp diesel BCS tiller with many implements (small Italian walk-behind tractor).
Looking forward to learning more from all you guys, sharing our experiences and keeping that 584 runnin' good!
Cheers,
Mike
