Hello to all, I purchased 5 acres with option on 10 more to fill out my little homestead farm. Still looking for the right tractor to buy so I can take care of our needs without breaking my back. We will have goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs to go with the acre of veggies and small orchard and grape/ muscadine vines. In the process of building everything including a house.

Welcome to TBN. With the goals you have I would make sure that any tractor you purchase has a front loader if at all possible.

I am not even looking at a tractor with out 4wd and FEL, a belly mower would be a plus. I also want at least 28 HP and up to 40HP. All I really need is to find one within those criteria that I can afford. I'm trying to remain debt free as much as possible. I've been looking at JD, NH, Kubota and Mahindra models since these brands have dealers within 50 miles of my land.
