Helium Shortage

The propellant in whipped cream cans is nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Don't ask me how I know:laughing:

How do you know?

Interesting. I thought they used nitrogen. Learn something everyday.

Just make sure there's something soft to land on when you fall down...

There cant be a Helium shortage.....oh wait. I guess Congress and the White House has used it all up refilling the old windbags.

Let's just say there was a rash of deliveries to a local supermarket of whipped cream cans devoid of propellant in the 1970's before it was learned that small canisters of said propellant could be purchased from restaurant supply companies.

I guess we'll just have to restore the funds for NASA. The moon has all the Helium we could ever need (along with several other elements and compounds).

I also thought that there was Helium on the moon but in a different form than what is here (something to do with the number of molocules bonded togther???)I could also be completly wrong though. I could swear I read somewhere that it could be used as fuel somehow though.
It may be Mars I am confusing it with.

NASA who needs em.
No lets just increse taxes and cut programs like space exploration.
Jobs are bad so we should cut anything that might further us globally:mad:

I think you're thinking of Helium-3 which could be used in fusion power generation.
Here's an article:
