HEAVY DUITY BOX BLADE

<font color=blue>$2400 for a TB372 (6' model w/ hydraulic scarifiers, just over 1000lbs). It was quite a bit more than I expected.</font color=blue>

What are your thoughts on the hydraulic box blade you just purchased vis-a-vis a non-hydraulic one in combo with a top and tilt kit? I want to get a box blade in the future. I know the hydraulic ones are very expensive just like what you've cited. Good non-hydraulic ones can be purchased for half the price or less. Top and tilt kits are around $600-700 plus install. I figure going this route will save me $500-600 or more. What are your thoughts....particularly interested in operational efficiencies or advantages of the hydraulic boxes versus non-hydraulic ones? Thanks.

The hyd. ripppers are worth their money in platinum.Ihave a feeling Ill be purchasing hyd. top&tilt fairly soon it just makes life a lot easier no getting off the tractor screwing top or tilt links for 2 passes then doing the same thing again to get it back level

I didn't buy that Tufline box blade. Seemed too expensive to me. That was the 372 model for $2400, the 272 was only $800. Seemed like an awfully big jump for just a little more weight and the hydraulic scarifiers.

I do have TNT and I have a 3rd SCV on the back, hopefully to use hydraulic scarifiers and possibly a hydraulic angling blade. Maybe I can find a Cammond dealer close by. $1600 is getting a little in more in line with what I was expecting.

If I ever find one and find the money at the same time, I'll let you know how it works out.
