Does anyone have any recommendations of a reliable head gasket repair additive that you pour into the radiator to seal a leaking head gasket in a Toyota if so what is the best one what do you recommend ?I know the best way for a fix is to do a teardown or engine replacement but that is cost prohibitive at this time. My vehicle is a Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder 2.7 litre and the leak is coming out of the exhaust .
Thank you

There is NO such of a repair in a can fix. The only way to fix the issue is to fix it the correct way. Anything else is risking the whole engine and cooling system.

Unfortunately those stop leak products are also known for stopping up radiators too.

A head gasket replacement does not REQUIRE an engine teardown if all you want is to replace the gasket. There are gasket sets for doing a top end teardown without going "all the way". Be prepared to spend a day in the shop but the job is generally not that bad. The problem is all the accessory stuff you may have in the way on these newer cars.

I've used Rislone on a Volvo where it leaked externallyat the joint of the head and block. First application was prior to 2010 and lasted until I needed to replace the rad and cleaned the system. Second treatment lasted until I totaled the car two years ago. On my Ford 460, prior to 2010, there was a slow leak where I was unable to find it anywhere, but it did put out a bit of condensation(?) when first started. I needed to add water frequently, considerring I didn't drive it much. After the treatment I only add water once or twice a year.

That is what I am planning on doing later this week.
Thank you for your advice much appreciated
