HDAPS?

OK...I will again display my ignorance! Exactly what are HDAPS?

I understand they are tires but what makes them so much in demand and what are the features that make them so desireable?

Ate they JD OEM?...or just after market?

For whose (like me) who have no idea what HDAP tires are, they look like this:

and are more aggressive than a turf tire, but not as aggressive as an AG tire.

HDAP's are kind of the "all-terrain" tire of off road vehicles, particularly farm vehicles. As previously said, they are a compromise between the gentle-ness of a turf and the agressive-ness of a mudder/ag. I have the HDAP's on my Gator and they've gone through everything I've driven it through. They handled 8" of snow fairly well, albeit with about 800 lbs in the bed, and they've gone right through fairly loose mud, but I haven't tried them in the "soup" though.
