Might I suggest the 400 series MF? After shopping NH,Case,JD,Kubota and Mf, The 400 series MF was by far the best $/hp tractor in the 100hp(80pto) class. As stated before, it is a basic tractor - if you are looking for a fancy cab with bells and whistles, fancy transmissions, etc.,look elsewhere. My cab 4wd with 1070 loader(bucket and spear) was 35K. It handles 6x6 bales with no sweat. It pulls a 12" disc,15 ft batwing, 10ft pasture renavator , etc in cool comfort. In W Tn., no other brand came close for the $ per HP. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions! Enjoy your search!

Well with the loader on the tractor your talking at least 5000lbs or better. The tractor is FWD and I think the hp rating on that machine is consevative! I also own two Farmalls, a 42 A and a 49 Super A, I have never done it but my buddy has baled with his Super A on flatland and while the tractor had its hands full with a small squre baler it did the job. If I thought it was dangerous I wouldnt do it!
