Hay Moisture Tester - Recommendation?

I see, where is the sensor mounted on the baler?

In the bale chamber. Right, rear side just below the rail you see on the outside. It starts getting a reading when the bale gets to around 22" if I remember correctly.

I can take some pics the next time I bale if you would like to see it.

The baler mounted unit is way slick. I have a monitor in the cab that I keep an eye onthe mositure and stop baling when I see the moisture picking up in the evenings.

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a DELMHORST F-4 Hay moisture tester kit on ebay.

From what I have been able to find out, this model was made in the early 80's. I called the company and they still provide service on this model.

If it works, I think I got a good deal. If not, maybe I can sell it as a collectors item.

Does anybody still use this model? If so, does it work well.
