Would anyone know anything about or have any experience with the Hawkline clamp-on front loader blade? Local dealer has one and it looks convenient. Just clamps to the bottom of the bucket with two elongated clamps. Has hydraulic and mechanical angle options or no angle. Smallest one is 6". Weighs about 200lbs according to the owner. Price is $999 delivered. What are the problems with this? I know there must be something.......www.gohawkline.com

Price looks kind of steep for a clamp on. I have the JD QA one so I cannot talk about $$ for a blade though (only reason mine was cheaper was that I bought it used). Anyway you will have one heck of a front swing with the bucket and the bade mount and angling setup. Also how would back scraping work out with that clamp on?

Thanks Mike. Appreciate your thoughts. I was sceptical about the price as well. Seems high? Backscraping is something I need to consider too. I wonder if the thing would have a tendency to just pull off of the bucket? I have also found a blade by Kasco that apperently replaces the bucket and uses the same pins? I need to get a price on that. It looks more substantial .
