Been plugging away at the old MF 135- 1967 with power assist steering and differential lock problems. found out the previous owner has the diff-lock engage arm spring stretched and the pedal assy is slipping on shaft , We lubed it up tightened the pinch bolt ,adjusted it and presto, its fixed and works well. have the pwr steering motor apart and waiting for seals , strangely its not leaking as bad, but still does not want to centre . If my searching is right the manual steering and the power have the same sectors which could easily make the box standard by taking the rack, cylinder ,pump and hoses off entirely and still have regular steering if the ,orbital motor repair is a failure. then i could buy the rackstyle kit off e-bay for $585.00 cdn.
then having true pwr steering there is a bit of welding ,but I have my own shop and my son is a professional welder, by trade. have our oun mig and stick welder cant remember when we had the stick going. weather forecast is calling for 15 cm of snow tomorrow and 80 klm winds , and no tractor to go out and play. Oh well the snow does'nt last long now with april coming tomorrowas well . PLease!!!! excuse my punctuation, when i write on the forum.I don't like typing with my cumbersome fingers and tend to just type as I have to keep my eye onthe keyboard.. Surprised I never had a reply with 96
hits on my prev post.
