I e-mailed the seller. He says he changed the listing. Still says yr 2002, 4 cylinder, etc. removed the Deere reference. Now it says he offering it for $11,400 or best offer. Still highly fraudulent listing. Maybe it converts to a yanmar helicopter.

um.. then it should be listed as a power ranger module. i know, i have several that my son uses!!!!

anyway, about that tractor, oh well, he wants max value for a used tractor.... won't do it, wouldn't be prudent... <TM>

I also e-mailed this guy and told him that isn't a 4 cyl nor is it 26 hp nor is it a 2002 mod . He emailed me back and said it is a 2002 year mod. because it says so.I told him to do his research and he will find the year mod. but ,its not 2002

Hey I offered to pay his buy it now price if he would prove that it was a 4cyl, 26HP, 2002 model year Yanmar made by John Deere. Havent heard a word back. In fact, normally when you "ask the seller a question" it appears as a part of the ad then for others to see. I havent seen a thing. At least there are some relatively smart people out there -- ZERO bids.

Definitely a buyer beware market. It would not surprise me if this guy had the thing represented to him as he has it described. The really scary part is that i bet he gets 9-10k for it. About going rate for that setup used in this part of California. Most would agree that there are a lot of people in this state with more money than common sense.

I emailed him that it wasn't a 2002, wasn't a 4 cylinder, etc. No response--but he has lowered the initial bid to $8200

I couldn't help it, after reading yet another thread on these e-bay tractors I went to the site and sent him a message. I can't believe that people try to do this. With just a little research you can find what you need to kno0w about these tractors. I know If I was purchasing one I would get all the info I could before I laid out cash. This guy amazes me.

He doesn't respond to messages. He has decided that the model number confirms the year. Where he got the 4 cylinder is unkown. At first it was a made by Deere. Funny thing is that ebay is offering business equipment protection (against fraud, failure to complete sale). Its not clear that ebay would step in or not (report is that there are so many clauses in their protection that it insures little). I read their policy and it is unclear that material misrepresentation is covered.

He's down to 3 cylinders and now he has 1500 hours. Still a 2002 yr though. No bids.

I e-mailed him again and told him the reason he has no bids is that people who follow these tractors know what they are & his ain't what he says it is . /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
