NH Boomer 55, ZD1211
Wife has put her foot down; she has to have AC, or no more shredding the pasture. Breaks my heart to trade our TC33DA HST. After a little online looking, I figured the Boomer 3050 with CVT was what I wanted, factoring in the hp draw of AC, and wanting to move to 6' tools, rotary cutter, bb, etc. After visiting local dealership, (NH and Kubota), manager informed me that some have experienced "bugs" in the CVT electrics, and NH is now moving the plant to Mexico and revamping their CVTs for those models. He felt that I would be better served with a Kubota L4740 HST... cab of course, (grumble, grumble).
Decided I'd come here and talk to the experts. I have NO problems with Kubota, just had such good luck with my last two blue tractors, and have always been pretty much brand loyal.

Would appreciate any and all input, thanks in advance.

Tractor will be mostly used for cutting approx. 10 ac, flat ground in so Lousy-ana, and will have an fel, and 1 rr; other tools at present are box blade & plow, carryall with small spray rig.
Dealer I am speaking of is less than 10 mi.; John Deere is about 2mi. further, but have never been able to get on the same page with those guys- (if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it).

Well the TC33DA HST is a great little tractor, I had one at one time. I have heard that NH is in flux right now and that Shibarua (the same maker of your present tractor) was going to make the Boomer cab models again soon, and not LS. I think the CVT part of the factory was moving to Mexico, I am not sure where the CVT's are sourced from now.
So things are a changing. I tell you what though I drove a Kioti DK35seHydro with Cab the other day and it was sweet. I just cannot justify the extra 6200 over the DK35se I bought. That would put it at about $25500 decked out with heat and air and stereo. You should look at it if you have a nearby Kioti dealer.. Good luck in your choices.

Sounds like the dealer is giving good advice. Kubota is a nice tractor!

What problems are you talking about? I have not had any problems with my CVT. There were a few bugs that were taken care of with a software update but that is all I have heard about. Mine had it before I took delivery.

Let me guess. He has the L4740 on the lot. He does not know when or where he can get a 3050. If it were me I would get the NH but I am biased.

Thanks, will check where nearest dealer is.

get a swamp cooler :)
Thanks, Soundguy,
by the way, is a swamp cooler made with gin, or vodka?

Sounds like the dealer is giving good advice. Kubota is a nice tractor!
Thanks, will try to take an unbiased look at them.

I THINK the dealer was referring to the electronics/software issues that SOME units had. IIRC, he also stated that NH was dissatisfied with the CVTs in the models that I was interested in, saying that when the plant was going to be moved to Mexico, the CVT was going to be revamped.
As a matter of fact, he did NOT have an L4740 at either of the two stores, nothing I could look at, and for that mater didn't have an NH 3050, or similar. He did have some of the Workmasters, and offered me a PS 4.75 cab, fel, buddy seat, radio, that was on his lot for $42,500 Two things shied me away it, I want R-4s, not available on the PS, and concerned about the added fuel consumption of the additional 25 hp.

I'd step up to TN series and be done with it.
Hadn't really looked at them; wanting around 50hp, fel, cab, R-4s, CVT, or HST, will check them out if they fit the bill,....Thanks

Probably should bring the wife along for the test drives (grumble, grumble) just to make sure you don't have to do it again...

Kubota's HST+ in the Grand L 40 series is pretty nice, and you could run six foot implements on the 3940 and up which are all available with a cab.

Kioti's are raved about, sadly, the closest Kioti dealer to me is about a ninety minute drive, so I went with the other orange.

I had a JD3320 Cab and it was a very nice tractor as well, you'd be looking at the 3720 probably.
