Yes, diesel is 10 cents less than premium today.

Current fuel tax in California is $0.615/gallon. The rest of the higher price is a combination of limited refining, demand, high oxygen fuel, and limited pipelines to bring fuel from Washington, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado...

One reason why EVs are popular.

I'm 50 miles south of @ultrarunner and the fuel is about $0.50/gallon cheaper, driven by demographics.

I did buy $3 gas in Nevada recently and it was pure gas and I swear my mpg increased.

We're heading to Lubbock tomorrow. It's often even cheaper there.

Murphy had it for $2.45 in Mt. Pleasant (town is on I30).

Prices around here have about a 30 cents span depending on station and locale.

Regular is $3.45 here in Nevada in the area where I live. Right now diesel is about 10 cents a gallon more than regular. Ethanol-free (available only at Maverick stations) is right at $4 a gallon.

Gas in the Reno area is quite a bit higher - just over $4 a gallon - because they've taken a page from California and added on their own gas tax.

Purchased Marathon 87 this morning in southern Ky. for $2.42. Diesel was $3.09. Truck stop with I-65 next door. A few cents more away from exit ramp.
