Have BX2350, considering smaller riding mower for yard

I wouldn't want to take my MMM off every 10 days. I've hooked mine in up less than 10 minutes and I have had it take closer to 20 minutes. The awkward part is the driveshaft. I also have trouble with the front link sometimes. I've also had 3 point implements be difficult to hook up but at least its out in the open where you can get at things.

Thanks Dave ..........I would be taking the MMM off and probably whatever that week I have attached to the 3 point too and maybe the FEL, and doing that every ten days might get to be a hassle.

The BX's MMM is a bit cumbersome to take off and put back on every 10 days. My question is why? It comes up pretty high and doesn't get in the way for most FEL or TPH operations.

One thing that does make removing/hanging the MMM a lot easier is having the FEL on; raise the BX's front wheels using the FEL, and this gives a lot more clearance to slide the deck under the tractor. Once you do it this way, you'll never go back to removing/hanging the MMM without the FEL on. It is far easier to get the MMM into place and the jackshaft connected to the forward-facing PTO. Once you have the back end of the MMM all lined up and connected (PTO + hangars in two places R/L), slowly drop the front of the tractor. Once the front wheels are down, you can now put the front hangar bar in place, and finally pin-lock that bar up where it stays.

ps
Oh, and get yourself a pair of maintenance axles as well, it makes doing PM on the deck during the winter a breeze...

I have a BX2350 with 60 inch deck and FEL. Major problem I have is that our 2 acres is black gumbo clay. Every time it rains even a little, the BX makes a total mess of the yard (I have the lawn tires).

I have been trying to decide wether or not to buy a smaller normal riding mower (probably JD from Home depot for about 2100) to mow the front yard. I have been noticing that the neighbors with the smaller mowers yards look much more evenly cut than mine does.

Anyone doing this? Am I nuts?

Edit> Tried with new blades, properly adjusted antiscalp etc. I am wondering if the deck just doesnt have enough sucktion/updraft to lift my weedly lawn. Lawn is 60% weeds like johnson, bahai, clover, etc... former pasture land.

Have you seen The Husqvarna articulating mowers, there is a two wheel drive version R220T and a all wheel drive version R322T AWD.

Here is a video of the two drive version.

My wife and I have two of the R322T AWD, because of the extra traction required on some steep slopes we mow.
We also have soft areas in our lawn and needed a mower that was not too heavy, the R322T AWD weighs 570 pounds.

Thanks for your thoughts wrooster..........but from your pics I see the two reasons why the MMM is not my best solution. I regularily go down my ATV trail (4 ft wide) to access my sugar bush area and hunting feedplot. the width of the MMM, even if I folded chute up, looks too wide and I would be banging the deck on stumps .
And number two when I did take it off it would have to be done in my garage and then require me to leave it on the flat floor of the garage, so easy to slide in and under tractor but would be in the way in garage . Whereas a rear mount I could take it off anywhere on lawn beside garage out of the way and go back and hook up to it when need be.
