The Kioti is called "the great pumpkin."

My two Allis chalmers are "pretty Allis" and "ugly Allis" because one is restored and one is rough.

My Deere is "JD", my power king economy is "itsi bitsi" and my Bobcat is "cat". You can blame all this on my wife as she's the one to name them.

Well, I've never named my tractors, but there are occasions I've called them names!
Nothing I could print here though...

My Kubota's name is "Fremont", but I didn't name it. True story. I bought it from a guy in Missouri, Dave, who had purchased it from the original owners. As the story goes, an older couple bought it to build their retirement home. Somewhere in the middle of the build, the gentleman was diagnosed with cancer. He died before the house was completely done. When he went to pick up the tractor from the widow and her son, Dave said they both were outside kicking stones and just generally milling around, looking very sad. Finally, the widow said "I have to go inside" and did. Shortly thereafter, her son mumbled he had to go inside, too. Dave said when he pulled out, they both were standing on the front porch, crying. They had asked him if they could call me from time to time to see how Fremont was doing.

If they are reading this, I'd like to tell them that Fremont is doing very well and he's found a good home....

Mine got named today. The "Lil' Red Mule" is what she'll be called from now on. After I named her I got the power washer out and gave her a bath. I can't wax her, she won't stay still long enough:D

ah, It's fun, reading the names people have came up with. And they usually have some self meaning. I'm not so original:

Kubota L3400 HST - Buda

Harley Ultra Classic - Big Red (although it's red and black)

Chevy 1/2 ton step side - Green Truck (it doesn't deserve any more importance that that!)

I hate to be a party-pooper, but for me, I believe names should only go on boats and airplanes, and then, very sparingly....

If you're OK with naming floating pieces of wood, plastic and other materials or an aluminum/wood/fabric/plastic construction that can fly; why would you have any problem naming an assembly of steel/cast iron/plastic and rubber that performs work on a solid surface? Even sparingly?

Yeah, naming inanimate objects might seem a little silly to some, but I've been called worse LOTS worse.

I know that sometimes when my tractor really is pulling a load a will say come on "baby". Most of the time when it breaks down, gets stuck,or is to small for a job I simply say "That piece of S--T" Its never the Dummy running it its always the tractors fault-go figure.

OK, OK, I'll have to admit, I like Bambi and Thumper....but only if they include the nose art.
