Hard to open hood on my CK 25--found solution!

I could not open the hood without using a wrench as leverage and even that was hard. I tried using grease on the upper latch bar and I can open it by hand. The upper latch bar is attached to the hood.

It also helps if you push down on the hood while releasing the latch.

I had a friend push down on the hood while I tried to release it and I still had to use the leverage. Then grease solved my problem.
