I've got an old T7.When I try to start it I turn the key and it hesitates for a second or 2 before the starter kicks in.It will start every time tho. I put a new battery, cables starter solenoid and starter switch in it.Any ideas?
I'd suspect the ignition switch and dried inner lubricant.
Squirt some solvent/lubricant via the key slot and that might just cure it.
I've used WD40 that way with success.

I had something similar going on and it turned out to be corrosion in the main pos cable. Couldn't see it from the outside. The multi meter showed a ridiculous amount of resistance. Cut it open and it was a green crusty mess. Replaced it. Good to go.
