I have been using harborfreight tools for years and had little or no problem with them one of which I use daily is a 1/4" 90 degree die grinder which I have had for over 22 years and it is still going strong to this day and it hardly ever gets oiled! As for there welders they are junk I bought one over 20 years ago and had to throw it away after about a year it seems that the transformers are made with aluminum wire which does not go well with the copper wire that is used to connect it to the power source does not mix very well.

Sounds like then they have made some positive progress in the welding department sinced 20 years ago. That may be in part to China developing towards a world class power in most all aspects.

I need to pick up a die grinder for sure.
