Ya them panels trap water, pollen and bugs pretty easily. I had considered taping at one point but figured might be worse off, same with all the caulk some people use on them.

I'm into my second season now. Survived the Vermont winter ok though I did have it covered across the top and about halfway down the sides with a heavy duty sliver tarp.

Covering with a heavy duty blue (or black) tarp would create some roof melting, if that would be desirable for you.

Not a bad suggestion

So far I have found no need for that as for most part with the decent pitch the little greenhouse has, the snow doesn't really stick and generally slides right off that heavy duty silver tarp just like with a metal roof :D

And if not I clean it off after storm anyhow

We even have to do that with all our round pipe tunnel style greenhouses at work sometimes. After a big storm cant let heavy snow sit on them or they may collapse. Sometimes we have to slit the plastic when the snow piles up to much on the sides and no more can fall off

Just noticed it has been 3 years since an update! The HF doesn't suck thread got me thinking to go back and look at this thread. Still going strong. I have replaced most all of the side panels, except the doorside, and a little more one half of the roof with panels from Greenhouse Megastore | Greenhouses, Greenhouse Supplies, Garden Supplies

Unfortunately they have raised the price of the panels and now there is a minimum qty buy. Ugh! Time will tell if it was worth going that way vs. buying another entire kit but I think so.

Notice the 'blue' new panels vs. the old HF ones. Also note the replacement panels are too short but it is actually working out better because it was running too warm and I needed better air circulation for better plant health.
