My brother and I had 4 horses when I was growing up. Dad was a salesman for a mattress factory in Houston and got to drive the mattress truck home back in those days. One Thanksgiving morning we loaded it up full of hay out of a local hay field. We had Thanksgiving dinner after we unloaded the hay. I will always cherish that Thanksgiving. I am sure your neighbor had plenty to do and plenty to eat too.
