On my Gx345 have noticed that when I park it in the garage with the deck up, the next day the deck is down. Is this normal or something I need to worry about ?

It's not normal, but it's up to you whether you want to worry about it. You lift cylinder is probably leaking by, but it could also be the valve. It probably won't hurt anything, just an inconvenience.

I am guessing it will only get worse, right ? Would it be an expensive job to fix ?

Yes and no. It will slowly get to drifting down more quickly when parked. It will not be noticeable for a long time in operation. The stops and rollers carry it when down and the pump has way more than enough capacity to overcome the leak when running. It's a big expectation for the hyd seal to hold that weight. I was always taught to lower all implements when you park equipment for safety and other reasons. If you did that you wouldn't even know you had a problem. I'd ignore it and run it until it became an operational issue.

I would suspect about $150-$250 for a cylinder and 1-2 hours to change. Pretty easy job if I remember right, something you could probably do yourself if you've ever used a wrench. If it's the valve (less likely) then I'm not sure.

I agree.
