GT2542 Hydro problem

I just got a used GT2542 with 280 hrs...Thanks to snooping around this forum before I registered

I did a full service including replacing the hydro fluid and filter. I drained the fluid and replaced the filter, then I added 5 quarts of 15-40 rotella T. The dip stick said it was full, so I started the engine to circulate the oil and get a better reading. The problem is the tractor wont move now. When I press the forward or reverse nothing happens at all.

One thing I noticed is the lever to engage and disengage the transmission is not there...Must be it fell off on the previous owner??

first off, make sure you replaced the tranny filter with an OEM type - substitutes/aftermarket types often have different internals and won't work properly in the tranny....
2) expect the other item discussed is the freewheel control? Personally, I would get that part replaced so that I could move the tractor w/o engine power in case of breakdown.
