GT 242 Trouble

I've been handed a problem with my sister's GT242 and hopefully someone on here can point me in the right direction. The tractor starts and runs fine, but if you operate it for some time and then shut it off it won't restart. It turns over fine, but it just doesn't fire. If you wait 60+ minutes it will start with no problem. This happens in both warm and cool weather. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

If it was me in the same situation...

First thing I'd do when it wouldn't start is to make sure it had a blue spark to the spark plug (take it out and ground it) . Second I would check the plug to see if was getting gas (you can do this at the same time). Once you do these two things you can narrow it done significantly.
