Gt 235 surging problem

I have a JD GT 235 with the 18 HP briggs and stratton engine.
It just started surging at anything other than full throttle.
Any ideas?????

Might be a restriction in fuel flow, try opening the main 1/2 turn or better yet pull the gas line and run it on 100% sea foam till it smokes like a bad bonfire and let it sit overnight, reconnect everything and it should smoothen out.

I agree too,that it's probably fuel related. If the Seafoam,doesn't cure the problem,you may be looking at a carb removal/cleaning. Could be a piece of dirt lodged somewhere.
