I have not been able to sleep at night wondering to buy the
L3130 or save $2,100 and go with the
L2800 ($16,400 vs. $14,300; 4WD, ag tires, FEL, tires filled, with rebates and my best bargining). The
L3130 has a 66 inch FEL instead of the 60 inch on the
L2800. Both are with maual transmission. The dealer tells me the
L2800 can be a pain when bushoging since the PTO stops when you put the clutch in. The
L3130 does not stop the PTO with the clutch in. Besides that, there is another 800 lbs. on the
L3130 which should help in traction and pulling stuff. I think in a few years, the extra $2100 will be forgotten. After driving the
L3130 today, it was pure heaven. I think the decision will be made after I find out which has a lower center of gravity. With my hills, this has to be factored in. I am very frustrated in my lack of getting any technical information about CG and when it will roll. Being a pilot of small planes, I can not believe this information is not available. It is fundamental to safety both in planes and tractors. OK, I am finished rambling.
