Nice job. I don't think I need one that big but am thinking of adding heavy wire to my existing brush guard. Maybe next spring. Spent too much this year on other projects and builds.

My problem was what got by the side of the original guard... If I did just the center I would improvise some type of deflector on the side of the original....

Looks good, I have something similar on my L5740 and will add one to our M8540 this fall/winter.

I was thinking the same after some firewood came over the bucket and narrowly missed my headlights. Just some expanded steel over the existing guard.

You had my curiosity up with those black bars going from the grill guard to the sky,,,, I see you have a cab with more guards, Cool... The difficult part of my build is the original guard has to tilt to open the hood....

Or just do behind the grill guard.I did mine after spearing the battery!

Check out the one by Richard (ovrzd) the grill on the M95/8540 has to tilt forward to open the hood.

Same here nybirdman. I speared my battery and broke the bottom of the plastic grill and punched in the screen mesh on my DK35 a couple of weeks ago. JB Weld fixed the plastic and I pounded back the screen mesh (for the 3rd time) but had to buy a new battery ($130). I have damaged the same area three times while piling branches on burn piles. The first two were minor from small sticks, but the third was more serious from a root sticking out from a stump at the bottom of the pile.
