I own a 2006 x324. On cold starts the tractor will run for 30 seconds or so and then flood out. On restarts the fuel will go through the engine and the exhaust and leave a big puddle on the ground. Sometimes on restarts it will run on one cylinder and billow out white smoke, yet sometimes it will restart perfectly.

The problem is worse on colder days or when the tractor has not been started for several days.

The dealer can't figure this one out.

I believe you have a v-twin Kawasaki. My LT180 used to stutter a little at idle. The pilot jet in the carb has such a small hole that it is easy to get clogged by debris or bad gas. You could also have a float that is sticking. But the fact that cold weather enhances this problem, I'd guess that you need to regulate the choke a bit longer. After firing off, backoff the choke incrementally, not all at once and let her warm up a minute or three at a bit above idle.
If this doesn't help, try cleaning the carburetor.

You might get more informed responses in the lawn and garden section. There are guys there that know these small engines, their wives and their kids, by name.
