Yes, I guess I caught the fever when my Dad went to buy a new M farmall in 1947 in Denison Iowa in the western Iowa hill country. He ended up bringing home with a sparkling new JD G. Since our main tractor was a F12 Farmall, this thing was a monster. They were hard to get after the war and were very fortunate to get the G. That G is long gone, but have fed the fever with a couple other green machines: 110 and 318 L&G, 40T,750, (2) B's, 3 unstyled A's, GW, G, 630, 70WF, 2950, 797ZTR, 4x6 Diesel Gator and a row of parts tractors. I am now feeling a little better now that I fed the fever, but I think I need just one more to honor that 1947 sparking new G monster.
