Good morning. Yesterday morning was a heart shaker. When you do one of the most dangerous jobs you always take precautions while you do it. Standing in the wrong spot can cause serious consequences which it did yesterday. The fishermen were out on the big lake trying to attempt to pull the trap nets and get us some fish. Our trap net boat is completely different than our gill netter as it is completely open all around it except for a tiny pilot house. This is necessary in order to pull the pot of the trap net next to the boat and able the guys to scoop the live fish out of the pot. So there are lots of lines running across the deck so you have to be extremely careful where you are standing. The quick actions of everyone on deck helped our grandson to safety. When you go into the water fully clothed with knee high boots on and the water fills up your boots you are weighed down plus the weight of your wet clothes also starts pulling you down. Our grandson attempted to swim closer to the boat but the current was also pulling against him. It was a very scary situation but the crew grabbed him and two of them hoisted him up and out of the water. His reply later was the water wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. Our whole family wants to say thank you for voicing your concern over this scary incident. Well out they go again this morning to get us some fresh fish. Our display case looks pretty bare with only the fresh farm raised salmon in it. We should have some fish early this afternoon for Peterson's Fish Market as well as Four Suns Fish and Chips. Thank you for understanding. When it comes to the weather Mother Nature rules. Looks like decent weather for a few days now. We got to go watch our 12 yr.old grandson play his first football game yesterday afternoon in lake linden and they won against Ironwood. So we had to celebrate with a nice dinner at Quincys restaurant. Me and my sister were supposed to go to coffee night last night but got done too late. Sorry Sharon. So now I have to get going.
