Mowing Greasing right spindle on mower deck

Here's a question for kubmech. I have the RCK60-27b deck for a b2910. I also have the grass catcher. The gear box for the grass catcher attaches to the top of the right spindle on the mower deck. Once the gear box is attached, the grease nipple on top of the spindle is no longer accessable. There si also a gease nipple on the side of the spindle. Is greasing the spindle through this side nipple good enough? Or do I need to remove the grass catcher gear box once a year and grease throught the top nipple once a year when a pm the deck?

nhman,I'm not Kubmech,but I'll say that when the catcher gear box was installed, the top zirk had to be removed. It now has a side position zirk which will let the grease go straight to the spindle.

Doesn't the center gearbox and pulley on the deck have a horizontal grease zirk?I see no need to pull the catcher gear box just to grease the spindle...

Hey nhman, yes, that fitting on the side goes to the same place, that's what it's there for.

Well,I guess you could come by this Spring and help me bag some some grass,can always use an extra hand in that time of year!!!
