But thanks for posting. It always makes me feel better when people get hurt doing seemingly innocuous things like that. So that if I get hurt on my dirtbike, I can say, you can get hurt doing anything, even changing a grease gun.
DOn't get me wrong, I am not glad you are hurt, but you get the idea.
Funny, I always thought of hand tools as "safe" compared to tablesaws, routers, etc. I was working on a house recently and tightening a bolt with a 1/2 wratchet, not an air tool, just a wratchet, and well, I was in an awkward position, working under the house. The thing slipped off the bolt and the wratchet clocked me in the forehead, split it open, no stitches, but almost. That wratchet isn't even sharp on the edge. I was cursing when that happened, I didn't eve know I was bleeding for a minute, but it was a heck of a THUMP.
Lesson? Even if awkward, don't pull tool towards your face. Should be common sense, but I have been using tools all of my life and never had a mishap like that.
