I have an odd problem with my Gravely mower. It stopped turning over and although I was reading 12v at the solenoid, it still wouldn't start. After replacing the key switch and the starter solenoid, I finally found a loose pin in the wire loom running up to the engine. It appears to be ground cable with a loop back. If I leave this pin disconnected I can use a remote starter switch to jumper the solenoid and get it going. HOWEVER....if I reconnect that wire, it starts and runs as soon as I turn the key off the stop position. I suspect a bad ground or short to ground some place, possibly in another component but haven't been able to find it. Has anyone seen the issue?
