2023 ZTS1 50" cut. owned since new. Right now, I'm cutting lawn without pully guards, and it still collects, but not nearly as much. I've used a leaf blower, and as powerful as it is, it is difficult to get the bunched up, compacted grass out. Cutting about 2 1/2 acres.
As far as the uncut strips, mine developed those after a year or so. I took the time to level, front to back, side to side, as well as the anti scalp wheels, and it has taken care of issue. (this was after my wife ran over a piece of 1/2" 18" tall rebar boundary marker pin) Didn't see or hear it???

We are mowing approximately 10 -14 acres with a Bad Boy 50 in. and a Scag 72 in.
I have tried several commercial products to reduce under deck buildup and they were so-so. My best results has been from totally cleaning and washing the under deck and letting it completely dry. I then spray a ceramic auto wax and let it dry for a day. I then put a second coat on and let it dry. After 2 major cuts the only buildup on both machines is on the right side at the edge connecting to the removable grass deflector. I also do the deflector at the same time. I am always amazed how there is no bunched grass after cutting due a clean distribution of the cut grass. It always feels good to look under the deck and not see globs of stuck grass.
