End result, I never, ever, ever have any problem reconnecting the QC's to the tractor when the time comes. I don't have to hit the balls with anything, I just push them on. I know a lot of you fellas struggle with these connectors. I don't. Years ago I used to struggle with them too. I don't do that anymore.

You can take my advice for what it is worth or not.

I am really glad to hear that you can hook up your grapple without needing to hit your balls. That certainly makes tractoring a more pleasant experience. ;)

Is the lid up or down when disconnected?

I leave it always down. Just like my FEL and 3ph implements when I shut off the tractor.

BTW, there's no need to hijack this grapple pic thread with my FF connector problems. If there's an existing thread, post a link or I'm fine if we just drop it in this thread. Thanks for all the suggestions though!

Thank you Piston. I think it was a great investment for the tractor. Time well spent.

So thrilled with this thing. Stacking and moving scrub oak that used to take hours by hand is now done in minutes.

Looking good, JK. Jealous of that grapple. I should have bought one long ago when I had to clean up an acre of downed and piled debris left by an excavator I hired out. That big job is done... took a couple summers with my BX and PTB and lots of bon fires I can't justify the grapple for my property now.

Yeah but think of all the exercise you're missing out on. I especially cherish the opportunity to bend over to pick up stuff I don't want that might poke me in the eye. Toe to toe combat with mother nature is best done sitting on a tractor.

Haha! I still have to get off the seat to knock some of the more stubborn stuff down. Tractor hasn't fully caused my machete to feel neglected.
